Today I came in with the understanding that I would get a teeth cleaning and an informal review of my dental situation from Dr. Modestow as to whether additional dental work was needed prior to my hip surgery. However, when I got in the chair, I was told for the first time that they needed to take 5-year dental X-Rays for this visit. My dental cleaning appointment went well. Erica did several things to make me more comfortable and she cleaned my teeth without hurting me. She also was encouraging about what she saw. 5 stars (However, I find the office's pricing to be very high. Don't know about getting a crown there.) That's why this is a 4 and not a 5. Everyone is courteous and pleasant and the standard of care overall has been very good. However, I was sad to find that my recent cleaning was considerably less rigorous than previously. Perhaps the (very sweet) young lady was learning and probably younger, healthy people need less attention but, with the known gum problems caused by rheumatoid arthritis (Sogren's syndrome), I rely on thorough treatment to keep my teeth - and I'd really like to do so! I am very pleased with Dr. Jacinth because she is very knowledge and I have a lot of confidence in her. She makes me feel very comfortable and I am just so happy that I have her for my dentist. Timing is everything. Dr. Ian was able to do a procedure so I did not have to come back another day. Thank you Dr. Ian, you did a good job and I enjoyed my dinner! I have never had a bad experience at Modestow Family Dentistry, despite all of the problems I seem to be having with my teeth. The staff is kind, friendly, and extremely thorough with respect to both assessment and treatment. It's not often that you find a dental practice where a visit ends up feeling like a visit with old friends. They get to know their patients, which makes a huge difference!
