If you are looking for a great dermatologist, Dr. K is far superior than any other dr I have gone too. He is not only knowledgeable, but also very caring and knows exactly what he is doing. After commuting to NY to see a dermatologist for years, I am so happy someone recommended Dr. K to me. He is far superior than any Manhattan doctor I have been to. He is a dream come true. WAS SEEN WITHING 5 MINUTES OF MY APPOINTMENT TIME. DR. KARAKASHIAN WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO WOULD TAKE MY INSURANCE. MADE A DIAGNOSIS IN ABOUT 10 SECONDS THAT THE PREVIOUS DERMIE TOOK THREE VISITS TO MAKE. HE PRESCRIBWED SOME MEDICATION THAT LOOKS LIKE IT'S WORKING AFTER ONLY THREE DAYS. RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY
I think his father, his office manager, is a jackass and shouldn't be permitted out in public. However, the doctor is good and so are his assistants. If you have a problem with your pathology report, take it up with the lab, he sends everything out, he does not check his own stuff.
I have been a patient of Dr. K's for several years now..he has treated me for a number of skin conditions and I have always found him to be skillful and knowledgale. I trust him completely. As for waiting time, hey, what doctors office do you go to and NOT wait...? I recenly spent 2 hours wait time for my gynecologist and in march, waited 1 hour for my GP and another 1/2 once in the examining room. Dr. Karakashain is the best Dermatologist I have visited, and I have seen quite a few in my time. Yes, there is a wait in his office, but not always, and no longer than any other Derm MD. His staff is helpful, although sometimes overwhelmed with the volume of patients. I hear he schedules so many patients simply due to the volume of people who need to see him and he doesn't wish to turn anyone down. He takes many insurances that other Derm. MD's will not. Usually have a wait, as long as 3 hours sometimes but as short as a half hour. Fits in emergency appointments fast. The older staff(his parents??) are SO RUDE, they need to go, but the rest of the nurses are very nice. He has always been very nice to me and pretty helpful with my questions. They need to get a fax machine! Get with the times!
Have always been able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. There is sometimes a long wait - up to 2 hours - but other times only waited 15 minutes. He's generally very busy, but addresses questions and concerns without rushing patients. Both my husband and I go to him and we both feel he is thorough and extremely competent. I have been a patient of Dr K for many years and have been completely satisfied with his services and he has always been congenial and helpful in his explaination of my problems. I have waited on some ocassions for a longer period of time but the end results have been worth waiting for. I highly recommend him and his staff for their curitious attention that I have received.
I had a breast augment with Dr.K 12 years ago. he was a awsome doc. I have had 3 kids since then and I am still very happy. I also might go back .!!!!!!!!!!
