He did a discogram for me and after the results were in I asked him if he would take me on as a pain management patient. He said that there was nothing he could do for me. I did have insurance but it was not listed above. Later through another source I was told that my insurance wasn't good enough and if I had better paying insurance or workmans comp, he would have taken me.
Very bad experience with this 'doctor'. At first he appeared very concerned & willing to help - prescribed pain patches and said they should help pretty quickly. When I called a week later to notify him that the weren't helping at all, I was told he would call me back. After 3 more phone calls over the next 2 weeks, he finally called back. Next thing I tried didn't work either & when I contacted his office, they called back & said he thought I should go for counseling! He and his office are extremely bad about returning calls. He prescribed a drug that caused horrible side effects and when I called the office to ask if I could stop taking it cold turnkey or needed to taper off they never responded. This after calling twice. I had to wind up calling my family doctor. Also, Initially he did a discogram on me to determine where my neck pain was coming from and he told me I had a problem at C4C5. Dr.Riber appears as if he is going to be very helpful but the minute he gets "stumped" he bails. He nor his office would return my calls,his receptionist actually hung up on me one day when I was complaining,in a nice way,that I had left a message two weeks prior and had not had my called returned. At that time I was at the hospital with our child who is terminally ill. I was in so much pain I could not even walk.
