10 years with PPM, I was on a fentanyl patch & oral opioids & never failed a screen or had any other issues. Then because of a PA screw-up, I was fired. No concern for cold turkey withdrawals. 2 days later he called & assured me he was going to refer me to another doctor & not to worry! He never called me back, never would accept or return my calls, twice I have gone in & still missing the last two months so I can't even save myself. I really am so hurt! I trusted Dr.Riber but he is like so many & cares only about that all m... read more

Dr. Riber uses state of the art equipment, excellent knowledge of his discipline and wonderful doctors in his facility. There are also great PA's and NP's. Everyone he has added to his practice has been very knowledgeable and helpful. His wait times can be quite long though, so plan some time to see him. Otherwise I can find no fault in him, his facility, the other doctors that work there or anyone on his staff. Everyone is very friendly.

First, you wait forever. What is the point of giving an appointment time if they are always 45-60 behind? The first visit, he promised that he would fix everything. He prescribed a morphine pain patch that did nothing for the pain but knocked me out for weeks. After that, I never saw him again in person. They gave me 2 injections, no improvement. I now stopped going.

Good Luck getting to speak to the doctor after the initial visit or getting any of the staff to return your phone calls. Dr Riber assured my husband that he could help him with his severe neck and shoulder pain, even said he could definately get him back to where he was before this started. But did very little to after to fiqure out the problem other than waste precious weeks waiting for return phone calls that never came. If he spent as much time treating patients as he did making negative comments regarding other doctors tr... read more

My husband was a patient of his. Has tears in lower lumbar facets. Injections and procedures that were done didn't help so they discharged him and referred to acupunture. Because of DHEC bkground check my husband is unable to see another dr or get ER help for his pain. I would NOT recommend this Dr. He thinks he IS the best and knows all. He is unethical and unprofessional. It is like pulling teeth trying to get someone to answer the phone or return calls. We had to threaten with an attorney to even get a callback from the D... read more

We have seen over 20 doctors in the past years and Dr. Riber has been the most caring and responsive by far. He handles tough cases and cannot assist everyone which likely leads to frustration for many patients. I highly recommend Dr. Riber.

My family member was seeing this 'doctor' for pain management. After complaining to him about the long waits in his office (he once scheduled the appointment at the beginning of the office's 1 hour lunch break), he became hostile. He scheduled an appointment with my family member at which all he did was chew my family member out for complaining about his service. He then called my family member at home to further yell. This is completely inappropriate behavoir for a physician.

I'm very unhappy with this "doctor"! I'm not a patient, but I am the daughter of one of his patients who is currently so far gone in his pain pill addiction he's homeless! He may not fix the problem but he'll def pump you up with all the medication your heart can handle. Then when your family calls numerous times to plead with him to stop, they won't listen and they'll just keep giving your loved one medication. Heck, he'll even make sure its delivered to your front door step for your addict. No traveling necessary! Wonder w... read more

My own comments on the above categories; The current staff is the best that I have had and most patients like all of them. We try to be on time but sometimes I do run late while trying to solve someone's complicated problem(s).Most patient's appreciate that if I spend extra time with someone else, I will also spend as much time as needed with them. If I schedule fewer people, we get complaints that patients can't get in soon enough. Also some procedures will take longer than expected, but no one wants their treatment to be ru... read more
