Just went to a local physician today to get eyes checked out because I was having issues. They checked my lenses on their machine and said that there was no way my lenses were prescription. They said that they were basic dollar store 2.0 readers that had been placed in my frames. About 3 years ago, After being examined by the physician at Optical Outlet I paid the Optical Outlet in Gulf View Square mall $70 for the lenses that I was prescribed to be put in my own frames. Ive been using them for years, bad on letting you know your glasses are in, I had to call 3 times,but other than that, they have ben helpful and professional, just scheduled my next appointment, and a plus Is they have weekend hours.

They bait & switch you to come in & then try to get you to pay by saying your insurance isn't validated yet just pre pay its easier. . If you push back they get very upset. In my experience They are swindlers

I had (and am continuing to have) a horrible experience here. First, they wouldn't trust that I knew my own prescription. So before I could order my glasses, they would need a fax from my eye doctor. Their fax machine was broken, however, so my doctor called and confirmed my prescription. The associate confirmed she placed the order while talking to my doctor. Was there for almost 2 hours. Had appt at noon. So did 10 other people. I asked about the scheduling and placed last in line. People who came in after me were seen before me. Terrible.

I am currently sitting in the office right now, I brought a friend up here for his appt an he is here on time, I guess the doctor is late on lunch an what not but one of the girls behind the desk went to the dr an informed the doctor he has a appt at 115pm.... The doctor comes out at 115 going off on his girls working behind the counter saying he didn't need to be bothered until the appt time, not a min sooner. Horrible service. Was just scammed into buying poly carbonated lenses for my child. They said that my insurance does not cover it and it is required in order to submit the order. So being naive I paid for the special lenses only to find out that my insurance covered it. I'm now waiting for a refund. Never going there again!

This company is worse than poor. I would discourage you from doing business here unless you like being wronged. Poor exam [i literally got a different script than the trial pair of lenses] also when asked if I could get a refund I was told another doctor could check me. I reluctantly agreed and that Doctor canceled my appt unless I could come in two hours earlier on a few hours notice. What a waste of time and money!!! They definitely didn't earn any stars!
