Our doctors have at their disposal the most advanced equipment including high definition optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), argon laser for treatment of a multitude of retinal conditions, and photodynamic therapy laser (PDT) for the treatment of macular degeneration (AMD) and central serous retinopathy. The Encino office also serves as the headquarters for our clinical trials.

Dr. Cao has impressive credentials. She is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Answers questions without hesitation, and fully explains procedures and possible effects. She has my full confidence.
Called her at night for what I thought was an emergency, she immediately reassured me after listening to my eye symptoms and scheduled an appointment early the next day. She was extremely thorough, took her time to check everything and really reassured me. She is kind and compassionate and her office has state of the art equipment. Dr. Hajir Dadgostar, as my new Retina specialist is an excellent eye doctor and this is based on my first visit plus my homework to locate the best one (medical school, PhD, residency, achievements, etc.). Dr. Moysidids did my post op exam after my cataract surgery because my doctor couldn't and he was amazing. When was the last time you heard a doctor say "beautiful job. looks great" while looking at the work of another surgeon. Plus it just made me happy. HIs enthusiasm and warmth helped calm me. Lovely man. (FYI This was at A Center for Visioncare in Burbank. This medical group isn't listed here.)

Finest eye surgeon you can ask for. Explains everything well. While skilled surgeon, he is conservative in approach. Had hole in retina and referred to him. Other Docs wanted to cut immediately. Because of what he saw he said a percentage but low percentage of healing itself and recommended we try to see if any success. The very best! I had eye surgery with Dr. Hanscom. With my condition of having "asteroids Hyalosis" I looked for a Dr. for a long time. I went to several doctors and none of the them had the experience or expertise to do my surgery. Most simply told me I had a condition that I would have to live with. It has been 2 years since my surgery with Dr. Hanscom and I see clearly. He saved my career, as we all need to see to work but he also saved my vision and I owe him a lot. R Espinoza.
I required a specialized treatment for my right eye. Dr Engstrom's office would not perform the procedure due to the fact that I was the only patient that needed it ( even though I have good health insurance). I was told they needed at least 2 patients that needed the procedure to schedule it. Money is placed over standard of care here. I was then referred to a different doctor who does not even perform the procedure I need. Please go someplace else!
