Had a very bad experience . This was my first visit to her after the visit I called at least 7 times as i was unable to get medication she prescribed. My insurance company Called them 3 times requesting them to send medication approval request , they wanted the doctor to request for approval however she bluntly says to insurance company and to me that they have no time to put such request for their customer. I would never recommend this MD she is rude at best and her staff have no consideration of the patient . She falls short of her title by a mile run don’t walk find a different MD

I had an appointment on 10/03/2018 at 2:30 PM to see Dr. Karen Lish whose Office is located at 301 Franklin Ave. Hewlett, NY. After I got there at 2:20PM and filled out different forms I waited 40 minutes to be taken to the the examination room where I was til to wait for the doctor who did not come for another 20 minuets. I went to the front desk and asked why I had to wait for a total of one hour. I was told that the doctor was backed up I was next and I left.

Stay away. Poorly trained staff. More interested in revenue than patient care.

This is probably a good office if you're interested in the cosmetic side of dermatology. A full body check for skin cancer was not even mentioned. And there seemed to be no choice to not buy her expensive products. Will not be going back.

Made an apt for skin check, only to arrive early , fill out paperwork and then be told she doesn't see skin checks at night. I was not informed when making the apt, which the staff wouldn't believe, and they wouldn't accommodate for their error. Would not return to an office that is so unaccommodating.

Dr. Lish gives a minimal explanation as to what your condition is and then proceeds to sell you a long list of her products that are guaranteed to help when in fact, her treatments are highly ineffective.

She seemed uncertain about what my skin condition was. She also pushed all her own products, which made me feel like she just wanted to make money by selling products. Finally, I found it very annoying that her office does not call in or email in prescriptions to the pharmacy, and I had to waste time giving in the prescription and coming back to pick it up. That is unacceptable in this day and age!!
