Dr. Ludington is an endodontist (root canals, etc.). Root canals not extractions are his specialty. When I went to him for a bridge, he rudely INSISTED on an implant and performed an extraction that has continued to give me problems for over 6 months - due to fragments of bone embedded in my gum. He was so condescending, treats the patient like they are stupid. Does not explain what he needs from you during his testing and then becomes impatient when you are confused by what he wants. Would never allow this person to ever touch me again!!
Avoid
The staff were wonderful. Dr. Ludington himself was a condescending, egotistical, cruel person to deal with. Despite the fact that I experienced dental trauma twice in the past due to very serious provider errors, and the fact that my primary dentist whom I love just misdiagnosed my need for a root canal as TMJ (though I insisted the pain was from the tooth that did--in fact--need the root canal), after I asked a simple question while I was in pain + anxious ("How do you tell?" after he said I needed a root canal with zero e... read more
I had an awful experience at this office. Condescending, rude, unapologetic, absolutely no bedside manner. The receptionist and billing associate were very pleasant and friendly, but Dr. Ludington and the dental assistant were not. Dr. Ludington came in the room, and after not explaining the test he was doing or providing good instruction, (essentially wanted me to raise my hand when I felt pain, but apparently I was releasing my bite too soon, though he hadn’t explained what he was doing) said “you’re doing it wrong” and ph... read more
