Waves of Hope provided an extensive screening and spent a lot of time with us, and it didn’t cost us a dime. If I could give the people I interacted with a negative 5, I would. I have ARFID due to having a true, physical medical issue called gastroparesis, so I can't eat. I asked the gentleman if there were programs for people like me who don't have body image issues, but just anxiety because I physically get ill when I eat. I told him that I was sorry, but group therapy for people with anorexia or bulimia would not be beneficial for me as there is an issue I have with them.
