It is wonderful to be served by competence. Everything about Optique Elegance exudes excellence and expertise. The boutique atmosphere. The array of options. The tools of the trade. It is all sharp and elegant. Above all, as you watch Brion interact, you see that you are in the hands of a master craftsman. He makes shopping for glasses an elegant experience. My highest rating. Optique Elegance is a delight from the moment you walk through the front door to the time you exit with a beautiful, well-crafted pair of eyeglasses. The shop is owned and run by Brion Shapiro who is very knowledgeable and accommodating. I was concerned about finding a new optician after a recent move to Poughkeepsie. Brion immediately put my mind at ease. This is a first-rate shop.

I have been wearing glasses for 60 years and I have never had such an excellent experience. The way I was measured for my progressive lenses was done with perfection. I have been wearing my new glasses now for a week and I see better than I ever had before. Plus, Brion Shapiro is patient and kind, and has a great selection of fashion forward frames. Each time my husband and I walk into Optique Elegance we are reminded of how pleasant an experience one can have in selecting eye frames. Brion Shapiro is a skilled optician with an artistic eye, which is enormously helpful in the process of finding the perfect frame.
