For someone who has a major aversion to the dentist and hasn't been in at least five years...I was pleasantly surprised at how easily my initial exam and cleaning went. The staff are friendly and upbeat. I had a dentist who was very detailed in his work and prided himself on his extensive knowledge, but when I had a problem from a procedure and asked him about it, he denied knowing anything about the issue (my tongue went numb for six months after getting a shot of anesthetic from him). I found a lot online on the subject, and a lot of how dentists sometimes don't want to accept responsibility because of overly litigious culture. My seven year-old daughter had a cavity and I was so nervous for her to go through the process of getting it filled. Everyone from the receptionist, to the dentist to the hygienist was so supportive and helpful. Everything was explained to her during the process in a way that she could understand, and she felt great about it.
