Do not have your loved one here. So far this is day 1 and we are already having a problem. I received a call at my job that one the staff this evening would not assist and no one answers the call button. I reported several times my mother is not able to walk. She is there for rehab to be able to do her ADLs. There also seems to be an issue at a certain times of day they stop answering the phone. We are going to see about another skilled nursing facility. This place should be shut down. Save your family member and send them anywhere else. They will send you to voicemail or disconnect the line before the nurse will give an update. Even if you leave a voicemail they won’t call back. I had to threaten having a wellness check done just to get a nurse on the phone. They are dangerous and neglectful. They don’t give all of meds because they try to pass it onto the next shift. They leave patients that are bed bound in their mess for far too long. More recently they disconnected my m... read more

My sister is bed bound, has COPD and mental issues. On one occasion when I showed up her diaper was so full of poop it was literally up on her stomach. Some had already dried on her butt and when I was cleaning her butt her skin tore bc of bed sores. Her meds were always missing, she was never properly cleaned and was mistreated. As someone who has years of experience in senior living, I am often asked about facilities I would recommend. Arabella is definitely on the list. It started with the warm welcome I received when I entered and continued with the great customer service from the staff. The residents seemed happy and well cared for. The place is clean, free of bad smells, and the residents and staff are engaged with each other. Great family atmosphere. I would recommend without hesitation.

ARABELLA HEALTH AND WELLNESS OF BIRMINGHAM… Is an awesome place to be , if you are an individual in need of their assistance. Their staff on duty , rather it’s the day or night shifts are all very well mannered, professional ,attentive , caring ,compassionate and knows how to get the job done no matter what the task may be !!
