I had shingles in my eye that had been misdiagnosed originally by an out of state provider as pinkeye. So when I woke up on New Years Day and my eye was swollen shut and extremely painful, I went to the Tully Center walk in and they called Dr. Fucigna who was the on-call ophthalmologist that day. The providers had already diagnosed the shingles, but wanted clarification on whether I should be put on IV antiviral meds or if oral medication would suffice.
